Background
My name is Aaron Sturgill. I am a violinist, guitarist, and music instructor. These are a few of my selected achievements.
I currently hold a certificate in Suzuki Pedagogy, Level Three. My passion is to enable students of all ages and abilities to enjoy the gift of music that they create.
- Studied classical violin since the age of three (Suzuki Method).
- Performed in dozens of chamber groups, touring companies, and symphony orchestras, as both a member and soloist.
- Studied at the Kodaly School in Kecskemet, Hungary as part of a cultural exchange through Capital University's Community Music School.
- Performed in Dresden, Germany as part of a touring group from the Columbus Symphony Youth Orchestra.

Instruments Available
Violin
Students are instructed through the Suzuki Method for Violin. With strong parental involvement, children may begin as young as age four. The Suzuki literature and techniques are well-suited to classical, folk, and modern styles of music.

Guitar
As a self-taught, performance-oriented guitarist, I offer one to two years of beginner guitar instruction (steel string). I utilize Alfred's Basic Guitar Method, supplemented with strong emphasis on general music theory. Students as young as eight are encouraged to enroll.
Piano
I offer one to two years of beginner piano instruction. I utilize Alfred's Basic Piano series, suitable for adults, as well as children as young as eight.
